MidAutumn
Celebrates the culling of the herds, as well as the Opening of the Wilds for hunting season; this is the time during which we pay respects to the tenuous boundary which exists between domestic and wild, and remember to give back to both. First through gifts of blood and honey to local Land Spirits, and second through gifts of charity (especially food gifts comprised of fresh game or livestock culls) given to the human poor.
Repatriations are also made at this time for land occupation. Additionally, protective blood rites and sacrifices are undertaken during this time to protect the land, livestock, and game from malicious Spirits through the coming underworld cycle.
Inspirations
The Catholic Martinmas and Michaelmas; Old Irish Beltane (as I interpreted it regionally as an Irish Reconstructionist).
