13 Principles Of Belief

We acknowledge a depth of great power so called ‘supernatural’ or ‘metaphysical’, but which we see as lying within that which is naturally potential to all.

We recognize both inner and outer worlds, and see their interactions as the basis for paranormal and magical phenomena. We neglect neither world in favor of the other, seeing both as necessary for our fulfillment and practice.

We conceive of the creative power of the Universe as manifesting through polarity. We value neither polarity above the other, nor do we ignore the existence of the spectrum nor non-polaric forces. We believe the same creative power resides in all people.

We practice rites to attune ourselves to the natural rhythm of life marked by the phases of the Moon, Sun, and Earth.

We recognize that our intelligence and prior actions as a species gives us new and unique responsibility toward our environment and seek to live in harmony and ecological balance with nature wherever we are able.

We believe, above all, that we must work within for what is healthy and contributory to the wellbeing of ourselves and the world at large.

We acknowledge that it is our personal affirmation of life, and the continuation of the development of our consciousness, which gives meaning to the Universe and our role within it.

We recognize that there is no concept of ‘absolute evil’, nor do we seek power through the infliction of suffering on others, or accept that personal benefit can only be derived through denial to or of another.

We honor those who teach, respect those who share their greater knowledge and wisdom, and acknowledge those who have courageously given themselves to leadership.

We see our religion, magic, and wisdom-in-living as being united in a worldview and philosophy of life identified as ‘Witchcraft’, or ‘The Wiccan and NeoWiccan Way’.

We uphold that merely calling oneself a ‘Witch’, however, does not make one a Witch- and neither does heredity itself, nor the mere collection of degrees and initiations.

We proclaim that we are not threatened by debates on the history or legitimacy of the craft or our faith, and welcome these discussions and any new information and insight they may bring.

We proclaim that our only animosity towards any religions exists only insofar as any may proclaim themselves ‘The One True Way’ and seek to deny religious freedom to others, however they may do so.
