Pine Salt

Pine needles, Pine Bark, and / or Pine resin, and Salt of your choosing. To start, cut your pine needles down into small pieces, break your bark into bits, and / or pre-freeze and break your resin. Grind each ingredient separately in your mortar and pestle, then mix together and grind roughly a final time to mix the essences thoroughly. Store in an airtight container.

As salt absorbs moisture, storing your pine salt in an airtight container is very important. Using a glass canning jar or rubber sealed container would be best. Cork or glass stopper jars, though aesthetically pleasing, are not air tight.
