For The Lord

Charge of the God

Revealed now are the words of the Great God: I am he who resides in the deepest woods beneath the cloak of blackest night. I make my home within the Earth, and the sacredness of nature. I am he who abides in the skies, bringer of thunder and sender of lightning. I give the blessings of rain to the parched and hungry land. I command the winds that turn the seasons. It is my seed which is life incarnate- and I am he who brings forth life from the soil. I stand at the threshold of death and life: Guardian of the mysteries of the end, and the wonder of many beginnings.

I am he He who is magic: Source of eternal energy, and catalyst of change for all who would walk in the Ways. My whispers are those of tomorrows revealed and knowledge to be granted. I am the power to see and do all things; a cosmic God, one with all aspects of the universe.

Worship me with the Lady. Honor me and I shall abide forever within you. For I am love eternal, and I am a part of all things.

Prayer to the Lord

Almighty Father: Lord of Death and Rebirth; Lord of the Earth and the Mountains; Lord of the wild and free beasts ... Fill me with your limitless love. Guide me in all that I think and attempt during this circle. Blessed be!

Hail, Unknown King!

Hail to the Unknown King, Our great Headless One sent Wandering; He, the bournless, ageless one who manifests forth from the Waters over the Earth; Exalted Consort and Helpmeet, Luminous Lord of the Hosts who sacrifices all to come forth by Blood and fill the Garden with its bounty!

Personal epithets and adoration

Adoration of the Lord of Soil

Hail to thee, who manifests thyself and issues forth from the Earth over land: He who creates the corn and grain; who makes barley and brings emmer into being; The creator, full of sweetness, who brings forth the herbage, and sees that each receives his proper sacrifice… Generations give thee greetings as a King coming forth at his season, clothed well to fill thy Gardens. Offerings are made to thee of the first-fruits. Fire is provided for thee with prime incense; You are the August adornment of the Earth. Verdant art thou, who makest man to live!

Personal epithets and adoration adapted from multiple version of Prayers and Hymns to the Nile, with help from Tumblr user @buddyblanc

Invocation of the Lord of Soil

Thee I invoke, O Bornless One. O Ageless One. O Holy Exalted One, and Luminous Image of the Unimaginable Age. Thou who is Lord of the Host, and of all things; King, Ruler, and Helper; The Grace of the World whom the Winds fear… Thou did create the Earth, and produce the moist and the dry from it which created all life, and which continues to nourish all by thine own will; which nourishes the Seeds and the Fruit produced likewise from thine own hand… Such are the Words… O Darling One; Beautiful Lord, now I implore thee: Come Thou forth.

Personal epithets and adoration adapted from Liber LXV.V.42 and PGM V. 96-172 as presented in ‘The Headless One’ by Jake Stratton-Kent

Prayer of the Beheading of the Lord

Blessed are you, Adam, Sacrificial King; great Cedar-Spruce-Cyprus-wreathed Headless One whose spilling blood sustains the tender Earth beneath our feet ... Your perambulation shall bring forth growth and abundance to the Garden.

Personal epithets and adoration

Prayer of Revival of the Lord

Hail to you, Adam- the great Headless One now renewed by the Oil of the Tree of Life and Death, administered by Chava's loving hands ... Blessed are you, Luminous Lord of the Rustic Host who sacrificed yourself to come forth over the land and renew the Garden's bounty through your blood; verdant is your renewal, Lord of Soil, embodiment of the cycle of earthly growth, slumber / death, and renewal / rebirth!
