Prayers for Health, Wellness, and Strengthening

May the one Most Holy, who blessed our Ancestors, Patriarchs, and Matriarchs, thus likewise bless and heal the one who is ill: [NAME], child of [PARENTS].

May the Blessed One overflow with compassion for them, to restore them; to heal them; to strengthen them; to enliven them; to send them speedily to a complete healing of the Soul, Spirit, and Body; Soon, and without delay. Amein.

May the one Most Holy, who blessed our Ancestors, Patriarchs, and Matriarchs, thus likewise bless and heal the one who lives with mental illness: [NAME], child of [PARENTS].

May they walk in the footsteps of Jacob, Miriam, King Saul, Hannah, and Naomi, who struggled with dark thoughts, hopelessness, isolation, and terrors, but survived and led our people; may they be granted the endurance to wrestle with pain and prevail as Jacob prevailed against the Angel; grace them with the faith that though they may be wounded by their struggle, still they live to continue walking the unpredictable path towards healing. May they not be on this path alone- but surrounded by community and the Ancestors, enveloped by a shelter of peace and wholeness, loving kindness, grace, compassion, and companionship. Amein.

Blessed Adonai, merciful one of healing, give me the ability to quiet these negative thoughts which are preventing me from taking positive steps on the path you have pathed for me today.

Blessed are you, Adonai, my creator. I am filled with gratitude for you who have given me life, and the life which you have given me; for the strength of my body, which I cave cared for; for the capacity of my mind, which allows me to continue to reach beyod possibility. For the courage of my soul to face my fears. And for the Spirit you have placed within me, which allows me to prevail against my own darkness.

I pray: Please see my afflictions, take up my grievances, and redeem me; remove all obstacles before me and these troubles which visit me. Help me to navigate this world and the trials and agonies of everyday life, without impediment. Grant me the courage to persevere in these many moments of weakness- and to do acts of gentle, loving kindness along the way.

Blessed Adonai, Merciful Master of the Universe, allow me to be like the stone cliffs upon which the waves beat, standing undaunted and unwavering; Allow me to be as the ore in the forge, so that the trials I face purify me and make me stronger; Help me to be like the rock deep beneath our feet, unphased by the comings and goings of those around me; Let me be as the water in the river, flowing around any and all obstacles in my path- always capable of making a new way. Amein.

Oh Adonai, Merciful One, I pray that you remove all bitterness, hatefulness, jealousy, and envy from me; that you will allow my happiness to be pure and genuine, and without the taint of those emotions which rot the spirit … Cleanse and purify my heart, oh Adonai, so that it is not heavy.
