Miscellaneous Natural Prayers and Blessings

Adoration of the Pines

Blessed are you, Pine- Humble and Gentle Cousin; Spirit of the Aqueous Earth; Guardian of the Eastern Gate, who sits at the Center of the Garden of Eden; Giver and sustainer who brings Life to the Lifeless, and soothes the aches and pains of Death; all who die lay down within the soil at your roots- and all who live must pass through the embrace of your branches.

Personally written

For Winter

Adonai, blessed Master of Creation, we thank you for the beauty of winter and rejoice in nature's wondrous cycle of new birth, growth, fruitfulness, and death, this winter and always.

To Call Spring On

Bless us, mother, to call the spring on, to see the winter off; go away, winter, into the dense forest- you have bored us to death. Let the Spring come!

Come Out, Spring

The spring has come, the grass is green, the cuckoo's crying, the nightingale's singing. Oh Spring, what have you brought us? A cane for every old woman and a garland for every girl.
