Offering and Foraging Prayers

I stand in wonder before Imeinu- the Divine mystery of creation. I find the mystery in Shekhinah; in sunken roots and withered leaves, budding blossoms and ripened fruit fair- gifts of life which bring sustenance and strength. From my lips to them, and you, a blessing; a hymn of praise. For there is no place on earth without your Presence, O'Elyonah, heart’s delight.

The possibility of our ascent arises at all time. And if I can serve all that is holy, I shall be doing all that humans can to help the rains flow, the grasses be green, the grains to be golden like the sun, and the rivers filled with life. May my devotion shepherd me to such acts of kindness, peace, and love.

Spirits of this place- seen and unseen, named and unnamed, formed and unformed, known and unknown- may these offerings placed here in your honor strengthen our kinship and pardon our offenses.

Praise to you, oh blessed plant, for Adonai has created you within this world for a purpose. I pray, as I harvest you, that you lend the energies of that purpose- those properties with which our creator has bestowed you- to my own works.
