The Simplified Mythos of Adam and Chava

The mythopoetic cycle I follow is built upon the story of Genesis in the Garden of Eden, and the post-Edenic mythos of Adam and Chava. The sources are taken both from the Tanakh, as well as from Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha (both Jewish and Christian). It is mixed with personal Gnosis obtained through spiritual journeys and interactions with these Spirits.

  1. Gan-Eden is created
  2. Adam is created from the clay of the Earth
  3. HaShem creates all of the creatures of the Earth in an effort to find Adam a partner
  4. This fails, and HaShem creates Chava from Adam's side instead
  5. Chava is led to Adam beneath a wedding canopy as a bejeweled Queen
  6. Chava befirends the Serpent
  7. The Serpent convinces Chava to eat the Fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil
  8. Chava shares the Fruit with Adam
  9. HaShem finds out and punishes them both, expelling them from Gan-Eden
  10. Adam is allowed to take seeds and incense from Gan-Eden before he leaves
  11. Adam is promised resurrection by HaShem as he leaves Gan-Eden
  12. Adam and Chava spend many days lamenting their exile and doing penance
  13. Adam and Chava eventually settle in the East and establish a new garden with the seeds Adam took from Gan-Eden
  14. Adam and Chava eventually grow apart
  15. Chava gives birth to Cain
  16. Adam and Chava reconcile, and Chava bears more children
  17. Cain murders Abel
  18. Adam and Chava grow apart again
  19. Adam and Chava reconcile after Adam is chastized by his followers
  20. Chava bears more children
  21. Adam, on his death bed, curses Chava for giving him the Fruit
  22. Chava and Seth travel back to Gan-Eden to request Oil from The Tree of Life and Death
  23. The Archangel Michael repeats the promise of resurrection
  24. They are denied the oil but are given boughs of Cypress, Spruce, and Cedar
  25. Chava and Seth return home and give Adam the boughs before he dies
  26. Adam is burried in Gan-Eden with his son Abel
  27. Chava dies and is burried with them
