If you need free versions of any books listed in the Library, do not hesitate to contact me on Tumblr and request a digital copy. I have sharable copies of the vast majority of the books listed, and am happy to share them with anyone who requests them. I do strongly and highly suggest seeing if your local Library can get a copy for you through the Inter Library Loan system first, however, in order to support our national Library network.
The Library section contains a number of book lists, each of which itself contains several books based on topic category. It must be said, however, that there are two primary things to keep in mind before continuing forward into the lists contained within this section.
⇛ First: The Library is kept for my own private use, study, and referral, first and foremost. The books which appear on this list do not appear here hapdashedly, either. Most of them are books I have personally read and found useful for various things, or which have informed my own practice in various ways over the years. Others are books suggested to me on those relevant topics, which I plan to get to reading at some point.
These lists are not exhaustive by any means for that reason. In general application, it's impossible for me to include everything on every country, culture, and tradition everywhere around the world. But as stated, this is also not intended to be an all-encompassing list of resources on Paganism, Witchcraft, and the Occult in the first place. Therefore the contents of these lists are relevant only to my own areas of interest and research, scope of practice, historical ancestry, and so on.
⇛ Secondly: Yes, some old texts are overly racist, unusually sexist, contain things like Root Race Theory or are incredibly outdated (etc) in nature. It is important to note that, while I've done my best to exclude sources which are overly racist or unusually sexist (etc) in nature, however, it is utterly impossible to completely avoid these issues when dealing with historical texts in particular- and a good number of these texts are historical, or come from specific eras where these things were considered acceptable or commonplace, or were the prevailing teachings / theories. It is simply the nature of the eras in which they were produced, and nothing can ultimately be done for it no matter how selective one attempts to be.
These texts do still continue to maintain some kind of value if one knows how to properly read them, process the information within the text correctly, and address these issues appropriately according to modern values in real (everyday) life. Pretending otherwise and chucking the baby out with the whole bathtub is nothing more than another manifestation of modern White Puritanical Calvinist nonsense. It gets us nowhere. It doesn't help us grow as Human Beings and practitioners. It ultimately does nothing other than stunt our growth by blocking off entire avenues of historical and other understandings. Furthermore: Being capable of appropriately parsing this kind of information, modifying it, and applying its relevant lessons to the modern era according to modern values, regardless of their source, is a routine part of Synthsis- which itself remains one of the most important markers of a mature and capable practitioner.
